Mango martinis are a colorful, fun twist to a traditional martini, and they include one of the three to four recommended fruit servings you should consume each day! So, if we stretch it just a wee bit, we can consider a mango martini a healthy snack. Okay, so maybe not, but…
Whether you decide to try one for its fruit content or simply for some sumptuous sipping, here’s one delicious way to make a mango martini:
All you need is fresh mango, triple sec, vodka and lime. Adding a little sugar is optional. Cut your mango, remove the stone, discard the skin and chop it into small pieces. Place that in the blender with 1 oz. of vodka, 1 oz. of triple sec and ¼ oz. of lime juice. Add a few ice cubes and blend until smooth. If you are using an actual martini glass, you can make it just as pretty as it is delicious by adding a maraschino cherry.
Here’s another tip or two…Substituting white rum for the vodka is quite yummy too, and if you are more of a gin fan, you can make a gin variation of this tasty treat as well.
